Westbrooks brings a unique perspective to his role as a Financial Advisor and Partner at WDW Financial. While the firm's roots run deep—it was founded by his father in 1969—Michael's passion for the work truly blossomed in his 30s, igniting a desire to guide others on their financial journeys. 

Michael's favorite piece of financial advice guides his interactions with clients and his team:

Maintain a keen eye on the line between wants and needs.

This philosophy extends beyond his professional pursuits, shaping his involvement with several charitable organizations close to his heart, including Dallas Life, Teach Haiti, and BridgeBuilders International.

On the personal front, Michael's world revolves around his wife, Loree, and their three daughters, Hannah, Olivia, and Phoebe. When he's not spending quality time with his loved ones, you may find him exploring the great outdoors through his favorite pastimes of BikePacking and golf, or making a getaway to his favorite vacation spot – northern New Mexico.

Looking ahead, Michael is driven by a vision to build a firm that will long outlast his tenure — a legacy rooted in integrity, personalized service, and a genuine commitment to guiding clients toward their definition of financial freedom. David Dugger has spent his career empowering clients to find freedom and purpose in their financial lives. David earned his BBA and Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin before becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. 

David's inspiration to join the finance industry stemmed from the mentorship of WDW Financial's founder, James Westbrooks, whose ability to connect with clients deeply opened David's eyes to how financial planning can go beyond the dollars and cents to make a profound impact on the lives of WDW’s clients. Today, as a Partner, David treasures the opportunity to pay that wisdom forward by mentoring the firm's next generation of advisors.

When he's not working, you'll find David enjoying quality time with his wife of 28 years, Shannon, who is a teacher, his grown daughter, Rachel, his college-aged son, Jack, and the family's goofy dogs – Stumpy and Frank. An avid traveler and live music enthusiast, David also embraces any chance to explore the outdoors through hiking.

Inspired by the best advice he's ever received — "There will be another 'great deal'" — David grounds his financial approach in prudence and perspective. Alongside his professional commitments, he is passionate about supporting his local community through his board involvement with Network of Community Ministries and his personal contributions to the Alzheimer's Association and Doctors Without Borders.

On the home front, Dan's life is enriched by his wife, Kate, who is also a financial planner, and their beloved dog, Miley. When he's not working alongside clients, you'll likely find Dan traveling, exploring new culinary adventures in the kitchen, or enjoying quality time with his furry companion.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dan believes in giving back to the community. He is actively involved with Operation Kindness, an organization dedicated to caring for homeless animals and providing life-saving medical care.

Born in the bustling metropolis of New York City and raised in the diverse Houston area, Stephen's background offers a unique blend of big-city insight and Texan practicality. This perspective, combined with his extensive experience, allows him to provide nuanced financial guidance to our clients.

Stephen's dedication extends beyond the office. He is a proud husband to Michelle and a devoted father to their two daughters and son. Wen Luisi is a financial planner at WDW Financial. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Enrolled Agent, she works closely with the firm's partners to provide comprehensive financial planning and tax advice to clients.

Originally from Lanzhou, China, Wen moved to Texas at age 17 as an exchange student through AFS International and has since made it her home. She earned her MBA from LeTourneau University in east Texas, where she also completed her undergraduate studies.

Wen is passionate about financial planning because it allows her to help people reach their financial and personal aspirations through proactive strategies. Inspired by Morgan Housel's insight from “The Psychology of Money,” that “controlling your time is the highest dividend money pays,” Wen aims to help her clients use their time in ways that truly reflect their values.

Outside of her professional life, Wen finds joy in a variety of personal pursuits. Her love for travel takes her to destinations where she can immerse herself in unfamiliar cultures and languages, broadening her horizons and deepening her understanding of the world. Closer to home, she finds solace in practicing yoga, indulging in a good book, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and cherishing quality time with her husband and their two feline companions.

Wen also volunteers with AFS, the student exchange organization that first brought her to the U.S., mentoring and supporting current exchange students. She sees it as a way to give back and help others have the same transformative cross-cultural experience she did.

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas and is currently a candidate for the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Alongside her professional pursuits, she is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).

On the home front, Rachel's world revolves around her two amazing daughters, who keep her and her playful 9-year-old pup, Coco, on their toes with a whirlwind of extracurricular activities like competitive tennis, dance, and theater.
